JAMMEH: The President who would not go

Taking over the Presidency of the small West African country of The Gambia in 1994 via a military coup, James Junkung Jammeh went on to change the face of politics, government and the country for ever. He ruled with an iron fist which squashed all opposition to his rule, demanded loyalty and claimed to have discovered the cure for AIDS.
